Cmd Shift is a free project for young people aged between 10 and 25 exploring movement and interactive technology in a digital vs physical playground.

Led by Shaper/Caper’s Artistic Director, Thomas Small, and Assistant Director, Yolanda Aguilar, we are working with artists and creators from Dundee’s fantastic Fleet Collective to introduce young people to interactive technology both old and new.

From Space Invaders to sound design, young people will work with us to explore how movement can act as a trigger for a range of digital interactions, and we will look at projection mapping, bringing inanimate objects to life.

Amazingly, this project is completely FREE thanks to support from the TTS.Digital Fund.  This project began with phase 1 being funded by CashBack for Creativity and YouthLink Scotland and we are delighted to now be able to develop phase 2 of the project.

The project takes place in Dundee with our partners at The Factory Skatepark, and in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire with our partners at Youth Arts Collective North East (YACNE), one of the national youth arts hubs.

Sessions take place on a weekly basis in each of the three locations and will also feature an Easter intensive and a summer intensive.  Participants don't need to have any experience in movement or digital arts to take part.

So, come along, meet some new friends and play with some exciting technology to make a performance like you’ve never seen before!
