Help us make a film with Dundee’s queer community to take a stand against homophobia and transphobia in the city. Free to schools and community centres, it will raise awareness and bring joy through the strength of diversity.

We’re delighted to announce that, thanks to the Scottish Government’s Community Health and Wellbeing Fund, we’ve been able to offer a second round of our very popular bursary programme! We’ve provided eleven more creatives with money to develop their craft over recent weeks. They’ll be showing us what they’ve been up to at special sharings this month. Keep reading to find out more!

Shaper/Caper shortlisted for national charity award

Run annually by the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO), the Scottish Charity Awards celebrate the best of Scotland’s voluntary sector.

This year’s shortlist includes 44 individuals and organisations from charities and voluntary groups across the country. While a judging panel will determine the winners under nine distinct categories, members of the public can have their say by voting for their favourite overall entry in the People’s Choice Award – by visiting scvo.scot/vote - before 5pm on Friday 20 May 2022.

Shaper/Caper has been recognised as a finalist in the Digital Citizen category and are encouraging those in Dundee to vote for them.

In January this year, we welcomed Iliana to Team Shaper/Caper in a brand new role - Community Engagement Dance Artist. Iliana joined us as part of The Rank Foundation’s Time to Shine programme. Let’s get to know her!
