Yolanda Aguilar

(she/her)

Initially trained as an actor in Madrid, moved to London to study for a BA (Hons) in Dance Performance and Physical Theatre.  Performed with Adam Benjamin (co-founder of Candoco Dance Company) and Green Candle Dance before moving to Scotland, where her career focus became Creative Learning and Community Dance. 

Yolanda has worked as a coordinator, project manager, and creative learning manager since 2010 in different arts organisations across Scotland and is the recipient of a Master’s in Arts, Festival, and Cultural Management by Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, creating Shaper/Caper’s first Business Plan as part of her thesis.  

She oversees the Finances and Fundraising, Human Resources, and general Operations at Shaper/Caper. Yolanda established Shaper/Caper with Tommy in 2015.

Her present interest is to investigate the value of arts a a social justice practice, which she combines with her passion for living at the farm, cycling, and foraging.

Yolanda is a trustee for the Federation of Scottish Theatre and a former trustee for Arts & Business Scotland. She has recently become a Circular Tayside Ambassador and volunteers with Togs for Tots.
