The Dance for Parkinson’s Scotland programme is a joint initiative managed by Dance Base, Scotland's National Centre for Dance and Scottish Ballet, Scotland's National Dance Company, and delivered in partnership with Parkinson's UK.

Shaper/Caper is delighted to be working with The Space at Dundee & Angus College to host a weekly class designed especially for those with the Parkinson’s disease and their families and carers. These classes are suitable for those people with no dance experience and will develop participant’s confidence and creativity, whilst addressing Parkinson’s specific concerns such as; balance, flexibility, coordination, gait and social isolation. The session is followed by tea/coffee, cake and a blether!

Dance for Parkinson’s Scotland is a national programme supported and funded by; Dance Base, Scottish Ballet, The Paul Hamlyn Foundation, Baillie Gifford (Scottish Ballet Dance Health partner) and Parkinson’s UK. We are also thankful for the support we have received from; The Rayne Foundation, RS MacDonald Charitable Trust, Cairn Energy, the Elizabeth Frankland Moore & Star Foundation, J & JR Wilson Charitable Trust, WG Edwards Charitable Trust, Cruden Foundation, Barrack Charitable Trust and Mrs Gladys Row Fogo Charitable Trust.
